Karen Brouwer and Family We spent a lot of time with Karen and her family, they were so kind and hospitable...we enjoyed all our time spent with them. In general, we found the ppl of Australia to be very laid back and rather amusing. The slanguage is so fun...lol...we really enjoyed that. Everyday the kids would greet us, we thought they were saying "Hey" - but it took us a few days to realize they were saying Hi. *G* We found the Aussie's shorten a lot of words and put 'ies' on the end - like instead of biscuits (we call them cookies!) they call them 'biccies'. Tuck is short for food; lollies are candy; rubbers are erasers; a snotblock is actually a delicious Vanilla Slice (pudding type cake dessert)...oh yes, we got a real Aussie education. LOL. *sigh* we would have to write a book to tell everyone all that we experienced, it was just wonderful.

Check out the frog and the background, so cool! The pansies also, such a neat effect. Karen is going to be teaching a Mother-of-Pearl class @ the Las Vegas convention, if you get the opportunity to paint with her, you will love it I know. She is a sweet girl and an excellent artist.
